About this range

What we carry in this range

Glassware is part of our Tabletop range. Browse the product groups, or ask us and we will point you at the right line for your site.

Glassware is the most-broken line in any venue, which makes availability more important than almost anything else about it.

What we carry

Beer, wine, champagne, cocktail, spirit, brandy and shot glassware. Tumblers and high balls. Jugs, decanters, bottles and jars. Dessert glassware and candle holders. Polycarbonate.

Toughened rims for volume

In a busy bar, most breakage starts at the rim. Toughened or fully tempered glassware costs more upfront and lasts materially longer under commercial washing and handling. Work out your annual breakage before you decide it's not worth it.

Polycarbonate where glass shouldn't go

Beer gardens, poolsides, functions on grass, festivals, outdoor areas near a car park. Modern polycarbonate looks close enough to glass that most guests don't notice, and it removes an entire category of risk. Plenty of venues we supply now run polycarbonate outdoors as standard.

Stock depth is the whole point

You will break glasses. The question is whether your supplier can replace them next week. We hold depth on our core lines in South Geelong and deliver on our own fleet.

Is toughened glassware worth it?

In a busy bar, usually yes. Most breakage starts at the rim, and toughened or fully tempered glassware lasts materially longer under commercial washing and handling. Work out your annual breakage cost before you decide it isn't worth it.

When should I use polycarbonate instead of glass?

Beer gardens, poolsides, functions on grass, festivals and outdoor areas. Modern polycarbonate looks close enough to glass that most guests don't notice, and it removes an entire category of risk. A lot of the venues we supply now run it outdoors as standard.

Can Byars replace broken glassware quickly?

That's the point of a local supplier. We hold depth on our core lines in South Geelong and deliver on our own fleet — so a replacement is a delivery, not a freight booking.
