About this range
What we carry in this range
Cookware is part of our Kitchenware range. Ask us and we will point you at the right line for your site.
Cookware is the range where thin-bottomed false economy shows up fastest, usually as a scorched sauce during service.
What we carry
Pots. Frypans and skillets. Grill pans and griddles. Woks and paella pans. Pizza trays and stones. Gastronorm and food pans. Cookers and warmers. Cookware sets and accessories.
Base thickness is the whole argument
A heavy, sandwiched base spreads heat and stops hot spots. A thin one scorches, warps and never sits flat on an induction hob again. On a commercial line the heavy pan is cheaper within a year.
Match the pan to the heat source
Induction needs a ferrous base — not every pan works, and a pan that doesn't will simply sit there. Gas is forgiving. Solid tops want a flat, heavy base. Check before you buy.
Gastronorm makes everything fit
Standard gastronorm sizing means your pans, benches, bain maries, fridges and trolleys all talk to each other. It's one of the easiest things to get right at fit-out and one of the most annoying to fix later.
Questions for cookware
Open full FAQWhy does base thickness matter in commercial cookware?
A heavy, sandwiched base spreads heat and stops hot spots. A thin one scorches, warps, and never sits flat on an induction hob again. On a commercial line the heavier pan is usually cheaper within a year.
Will my pans work on an induction cooktop?
Only if they have a ferrous base — a pan that doesn't will simply sit there and do nothing. Check before you buy, especially if you're moving from gas to induction.
What is gastronorm and why does it matter?
Gastronorm is a standard sizing system for pans and trays. It matters because it means your pans, benches, bain maries, fridges and trolleys all fit together. It's easy to get right at fit-out and annoying to fix later.
